Oven Baked Meatballs
Ingredients
3 potatoes
3 tomatoes
3 green peppers
Vegetable oil
1 tsp pepper paste
1.5 tbsp tomato paste
1 bowl of hot water
500 gr ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp pepper paste (for the meat)
1 onion
4 cloves of garlic
Salt (to taste)
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp black pepper
Description
For the meatball mixture, blend the onion, garlic, and egg together and place them in a bowl.
Add all the other meatball ingredients into the bowl and knead well.
Once the mixture reaches the right consistency, let it rest for about two minutes.
In the meantime, peel the potatoes and slice them into half-moon shapes.
Mix the potatoes with vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon of pepper paste. Arrange them in a greased baking tray by alternating one meatball and one potato slice.
Place the sliced green peppers and tomatoes on top of the meatballs and potatoes.
In a bowl, mix 1.5 tablespoons of tomato paste with hot water until it reaches a smooth consistency, then pour it over the dish.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C until the potatoes are soft and cooked through. Serve.
