Green Beans in Olive Oil
Ingredients
¾ cup of olive oil
2 medium onions, finely diced
3 cloves of garlic
1 kilogram of fresh green beans
1 cup of water
1 level tablespoon of granulated sugar
Salt
3 medium tomatoes
Description
Place your pot on the stove and heat the olive oil.
Add the onions and sauté until they soften.
Once the onions are soft, add the garlic and fresh green beans and stir.
Add the water, sugar, and salt, then cover the pot.
Cook over medium heat until it boils, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30–45 minutes.
About 5 minutes before you're ready to take the beans off the stove, add the tomatoes and then remove from the heat.
Let it sit and rest.
