Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • 500 gr ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp tomate paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 3 tbsp of brown sugar
  • Description

  • Heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium high heat. Add gound beef, sprinkle salt and pepper on top, cook until it breaks up and browns, caramalizes, 6-7 minutes.
  • Dice an onion finely, add it on the meat. Add four cloves of diced garlic. Mix, cook along with onions, until both soften.
  • Make an empty space in the middle of the dish, add the tomato paste there. Mix it with others.
  • Now add the Worcestershire, and soy sauce. Mix and cook.
  • Add the smoked paprika, and thyme. Also add the brown sugar.
  • Now toss in the cabbage and two carrots (diced). Add 3/4 liters of tomato sauce. Add 4 cups of beef broth. Also add 1/2 cup long grain rice.
  • The dish must look soupy / watery now. Add a bay leaf, add again salt and pepper, cook until rice softens. Serve.
